Testimonial
I had heard the steelhead fishing was good in the tributaries of Lake Erie. I have had some friends and family that have done it and they all said that if you caught 6-8 fish between a group of guys you were having a great day. They were all wrong!!!!! Bob met us at the hotel on Friday morning at 6:30am and we were on the water fishing by 7am. I caught and landed my first steelhead ever at about 7:20am after getting some general instructions. Between the group, three guys (one of the group has never touched a fly rod before), we landed over 30 steelhead the first day out! Bob taught us the basics, gave us all some individual instruction and showed us what tackle to use and we continued the catch steelhead all weekend. After Bob taught us what we needed to know on Friday, we went out Saturday and we had all caught our limit of big Steelys before 8:30am. On Sunday, before we made the 5 hour drive back to Maryland, I personally landed 18 fish before 9am!! Bob gave us the tools and the know-how and we turned it into one of the greatest fly fishing trips I have ever had. Bob is a great guide and teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants to have the best experience catching big steelhead!
